Speaking at 2012 PA State Atheist/Humanist Conference

I will be speaking for a May 25, 2014 speaker series event in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania with the Humanist Association of Greater Philadelphia.

I will be presenting a speech titled “Communicating atheism and humanism” at the Upper Moreland Library at 109 Park Avenue in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania on May 25, 2014.

Find more information and RSVP on the Humanist Association of Greater Philadelphia’s meetup.com page. There is no charge for admittance.

I previously presented for the Humanist Association of Greater Philadelphia in 2012. Since then, I have gained new insights and much more experience and thus have many new ideas to offer. HAGP is a great group of people who are very welcoming and kind. I hope to see new and familiar faces at this event in the Philadelphia area!

Following is a short description of the speech:

There are many approaches associated with communicating atheism and humanism. How can atheists and humanists most effectively communicate messages of atheism and humanism to the general public? Is there one best approach? How can success, if at all, be measured? How can atheists and humanist best overcome barriers to productive discussion? Justin Vacula — writer at justinvacula.com; atheist and church/state separation activist; and co-organizer of the NEPA Freethought Society — will share his thoughts and welcome feedback.
